Masashi Tashiro Arrested for being in possession of illegal stimulants

On Wednesday, former entertainer Masashi Tashiro was arrested, for allegedly being in possession of illegal stimulants in Tokyo and northeastern Japan earlier this year, the police said.

 

Masashi Tashiro is suspected of having the drugs along with him, in an accommodation facility in Shiogama, Miyagi Prefecture, on Aug. 23 and also in Tokyo’s Suginami Ward on Nov. 6. The 63 year old has been convicted many times for violating the stimulants control law.

 

In the entertainment industry, Tashiro debuted in the 1980s as a member of doo-wop band The Chanels and he was also popular as a comedian.
