salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) and International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) mutually decided to mingle, their AI (artificial-intelligence) technologies, in an effort to accelerate the sales of data-analytics offerings.
The deal has lot of positive impacts for salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM), as it adds International Business Machines Corp ‘s broader artificial-intelligence capabilities to its products, that will ultimately help the company to combat the increasing pressure from big tech powerhouses, like Oracle and Microsoft. It’s a good deal for both tech giants, International Business Machines Corp also agreed to utilize Salesforce’s customer-service software companywide, that will also providing Salesforce inc a marquee customer.
International Business Machines Corp’s latest move under this agreement, to put Watson in front of a broad business audience, will be available in second half of the year. And it also aimed at providing help to a wide variety of companies, to better address the services, and products.
On Monday, both announced plans to offer integrated artificial-intelligence services, that nap the broad human like learning and conversation capabilities of International Business Machines Corp’s Watson with Salesforce inc’s Einstein technology.
“The real value is when you link these processes together, not just apply AI to an individual one,” IBM Chief Executive Ginni Rometty said.
